Head of School Search Update
Dear Crossroads Academy Community,

We are excited to introduce Dan Morrissey, the finalist candidate for the next Head of School, to the Crossroads community!

Note from Jean Behnke
Dear Parents,

I hope that you found our spring break to be refreshing and relaxing. We look forward to sharing our spring events and programs with you as the final weeks of school unfold. But meanwhile, we have a lot to share about what’s been happening recently!

Health Office Updates
As of yesterday, Grafton county has 287 identified active cases of COVID-19. Lyme has 1-4 active cases, Hanover has 10 active cases, and Lebanon has 13 active cases.
Don't Forget to Check for Ticks!

  1. It is tick season in New Hampshire and Vermont.
  2. Include tick checks in your child’s daily routine.
  3. More information on how to protect your child from ticks.
Water Bottles Every Day

Please have your child bring a water bottle to school every day. Crossroads has excellent, clean drinking water for refilling at school. Staying adequately hydrated is one way to prevent new headaches and exclusion from school while your child awaits test results.
Teachers Getting Second Dose Vaccines

Most of our faculty and staff participated in a mass vaccination clinic for teachers and are receiving their second COVID vaccine this weekend. Side effects may be more significant with the second dose. We expect that our teachers will be ready to return to work Monday, April 26. However, should we have multiple absences in key positions, we may need to call a "snow day.” While we believe that this is unlikely, should this be the case, you will be notified by our emergency system by 6:00 a.m. on April 26.

Summer Updates
Crossroads Summer Program!

Crossroads Academy Summer Programs will begin on June 21 and run through August 13, 2021. Visit our website or email summer@crossroadsacademy.org if you are interested in signing up for any of our one-week programs this summer.

We encourage you to spread the word to your friends who may be seeking new summer opportunities!
Parent Association Updates
Community Connections

Being a member of the Crossroads community is truly special. Since we cannot, at this time, gather together to meet and share stories, the Parent Association has developed a "Crossroads Connections" series in which families will be introduced through interviews each week.

This week, we introduce you to:

Parent Name: Topher and Renata Watts
Crossroads Students: Kindergartener Phoebe, Matthew (3.5), and Thérèse (1).
At Crossroads Since: 2020

Support the Crossroads Fund
EVERY GIFT MATTERS!

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the enduring spirit of our community! Thank you for all your gifts to the Crossroads Fund 2021

If you haven't made your gift this year, It’s not too late to join us in supporting Strong Minds, Kind Hearts. Help us reach our goal of 100% participation. Click here to donate today!

Why is your participation so important?
High participation is a huge vote of confidence, an important sign that virtually all parents invest in their children’s welfare and support the school’s mission. This percentage can also have an impact on gifts from outside sources; most foundations consider parent participation rates before donating funds to a school. EVERY GIFT MATTERS.
