Featuring Neil Garbe, Oakville's Commissioner of Community Development and Gabe Charles, Director of Planning, the episode discusses Oakville's pledge of 33,000 new housing approvals in the next decade.
The announcement, made by Oakville Council, is aimed at addressing Ontario's affordable housing crisis and increasing the availability of affordable homes for residents.

Residents invited to give input on
parks, recreation and library needs

The Town of Oakville is looking to better understand how the community uses parks, recreation and culture facilities and libraries and is developing a Parks, Recreation, and Library Facilities Master Plan to guide the current and future direction of these spaces.
“Our parks, sports fields, community centres, and libraries are places where we belong, gather, and connect with each other. They are a big part of what make Oakville a thriving community.
"As the town grows, these spaces need to continue to evolve to meet the needs and wants of our community. The Parks, Recreation, and Library Facilities Master Plan will guide how we provide the community facilities that allow us to be part of the community and feel connected with one another. It is important that Council and staff hear from the community on what matters to them and their families!”

The conversation centered on the important role that food banks play in supporting individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity.

Halton District School Board sets opening date for first ever north Oakville high school | |

Plans to construct North Oakville’s first high school are moving ahead.
The Town’s Planning and Development Council voted during its Monday, April 17 meeting to approve zoning changes that will allow for the building of a Halton District School Board secondary school at the northwest corner of the Sixth Line and Burnhamthorpe Road West intersection.

Quebec to ban sale of flavoured vaping products
The Quebec government is modifying the province’s anti-tobacco law to crack down on vaping, including by banning the sale of flavoured products.
The new regulations tabled Wednesday would prevent the sale of vape products in flavours other than tobacco, cap the nicotine content to 20 milligrams per millilitre, and limit the size of capsules and refill containers.

- Pass the pre-qualification quiz, complete the 2.5 hours of online training, and develop your Digital Transformation Plan.
