Thunderbirds Charities Volunteer Event Helps

Brighten HSC Safe Storage Program

Over 30 Thunderbirds came to the Human Services Campus (HSC) this past Saturday and helped transform the Safe Storage program! Clients on Campus have the opportunity to use a storage bin that is secured behind locked gates and staffed by HSC's caring Supportive Services employees. Individuals are able to store their belongings, making it easier to accessing vital resources on the Campus and beyond.

The Thunderbird volunteers painted the storage bins and added some artistic touches. Now when Clients retrieve their belongings from storage they’ll be met with positive messages and bright colors. Thank you Thunderbirds Charities for all you do to help HSC and our partners end homelessness for people every day!

Join us to Celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week

It’s National Volunteer Week and all are welcome this Thursday, April 20th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm! Whether you’re a past, present, or prospective volunteer at HSC, we would love to spend some time with you in the St. Vincent de Paul community garden on the Human Services Campus. Meet like-minded people and celebrate all that we do together while enjoying refreshments and yard games! Please RSVP here for more information.

Take the Community Health Needs Assessment

HSC is appreciative of our long-standing relationship with many facets of Maricopa County. One of those is with the Public Health Department. Please support our partnership by completing this mission critical survey. One of the most important ways that the Maricopa County Department of Public Health achieves its mission is by conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

A CHNA is a comprehensive data collection effort to identify the strengths, challenges, health priorities, and opportunities to address and improve public health. Every three years, Maricopa County Public Health, in collaboration with healthcare and community partners, conducts a CHNA to develop a deeper understanding from residents about issues that relate to quality of life, availability of vital services, physical and mental health, and more.
