AgeOptions logo

AgeOptions NOW is a publication of AgeOptions, a nonprofit organization. As the Area Agency on Aging of Suburban Cook County, AgeOptions serves 130 communities within 30 townships.

This spring issue of AgeOptions NOW includes several articles on volunteers and their importance to AgeOptions and all of our community partners.

Spotlight On Volunteers

Since National Volunteer Week is celebrated each April, this issue of AgeOptions NOW is focusing on volunteers.

Tap Into Experience

Volunteers have long been an important part of many AgeOptions programs. A new initiative, Tap Into Experience (TIE), is building a foundation for stronger partnerships with volunteers.

Glenniece Martin and the Rev. Dr. Douglas Sharp are two of the newer professional-level AgeOptions volunteers. They are drawing on their skills and experience to play pivotal roles in two very different projects.

Help Us Make a Difference...

Last year AgeOptions and our community senior service partners made a difference in the lives of 234,231 individuals -- an increase of more than 33,000 from the previous year. We expect the need for our services and programs to continue to grow as the population of older adults increases every year.

Your donation to AgeOptions will help us continue to provide essential services that contribute to the well-being of our older neighbors and enable them to stay in their homes and communities.
