Happy Spring to you all! I can't believe it's finally warming up in Fort Wayne.
Our chapter has many great things happening this month. If you haven't registered for the Legislative meeting for April 18th or Super CE Day for April 28th, it's not too late!!
Our Legislative team has been working hard to give us the opportunity to meet the candidates running for our 3rd District Congressional seat. Even if politics isn't your "thing", you owe it to yourself and your clients to be an informed voter. We all need to play an active role in the process and to continue to speak with "One Voice". Our NAHU is actively fighting for our industry and for you to serve your clients.
Won't you help us by attending our legislative meetings and supporting our Political Action efforts through your donations to the National Association Health Underwriters Political Action Committee (HUPAC) and the Indiana State Association Health Underwriters Political Action Committee (ISAHUPAC)? For more information and contribution forms, visit
or Denny Wright, HUPAC Chair at
Another exciting event this month is our chapter's main fundraiser and professional development event of the year - Super CE Day, April 28, 2016. The planning committee has been working since early January to bring a full day of networking, 8 CE credits, 16 expert presenters on a plethora of topics. There is something for everyone. This event not only provides the professional development for our members and guests, but also provides the means to support the activities of this chapter throughout the year. The best way to help show your support and thank the committee - register today. We are counting on you. To register visit our website at
Membership committee has been on fire!! We have had
8 new faces join our chapter so far this year
. A warm NEIAHU Welcome to our new members!!!
Rumor has it that we may have reached our goal of 100 members.... Stayed tuned for the official announcement. Thank you to all who continue to sponsor these new members. We look forward to welcoming them and bringing them into the fold.
Lastly this month is also the time when the board is looking for new leaders. There are many opportunities for you to share your talents and time. The Nominating Committee is actively seeking new faces to step and help.
If you are interested in helping as a board member, Officer, committee chair, please contact me. We are all volunteers, so everyone has a part to play. Remember, many hands make lighter work. If, we all were willing to do something, just think of the great things this chapter could accomplish.
I hope to see you all at our April Events!!
Kathy, President 2015-2016
