On St. Patrick's Day, some lucky passengers received the #GoMetro equivalent of a four leaf clover: a Metro day pass! During our spring giveaway, we left the surprises on random Metro bus seats and also handed them out at Government Square. These three lucky passengers (above) are ecstatic about their #LuckoftheMetro!

Celebrate Earth Month with Metro

What's the best way to go green? #GoMetro

Using public transit is one of the best ways to reduce your impact on the environment. By moving more people with fewer vehicles, public transit reduces greenhouse gas emissions, saves energy and reduces poor air quality.

Did you know?
  • Metro operates 27 hybrid buses in our fleet, reducing emissions and the need for fuel.
  • Metro's extensive recycling program has diverted more than 79,450 pounds of waste from landfills.
  • Metro received a grant this year to purchase a cardboard baler to reduce costs and generate income from the sale of recycled cardboard.
