Diocesan Youth Participate in March for Our Lives in DC and Across the Commonwealth
On March 24th youth from across the nation gathered with urgency in Washington DC and across the country to protect their lives from gun violence. Fully aware of our nation’s failure to act to keep their lives safe, the youth called upon on another to form a movement to create needed change. Their urgency was borne in the realization that they could no longer sit and wait for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass shootings.
Seventeen youth and three adult leaders from the diocese took pilgrimage to DC to participate at the nation's capital, and Bishop White, along with countless Episcopal youth, marched in Louisville, Bowling Green, Paducah, and Calvert City.

Thy Kingdom Come
Presiding Bishop Curry Joins Worldwide Anglican Communion Campaign Calling for Prayer
Ascension Day to Pentecost
For the second year, Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has joined the worldwide Anglican Communion in
Thy Kingdom Come
, a campaign initiated by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby calling for prayer by individuals, congregations and families.
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension Day (May 10) and Pentecost (May 20) for more people to come to know Jesus.
“Jesus taught us to pray ‘Thy kingdom come, thy will be done’,” Presiding Bishop Curry said in a video message for Thy Kingdom Come available

Latino Ministry Competency Session--
registration now open
Two sessions of the Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency are now open for registration. The sessions offer a nine-day intensive course designed for diocesan staff, clergy, lay leaders, and seminarians to learn cultural competency for Latino ministry.

April 20-23 is the National Council of Churches' annual Ecumenical Advocacy Days. This year's focus is on our response to the the uprooted peoples of our world. Through prayer, worship, advocacy training, and networking, EAD will seek policy changes that advance hope and overcome the devastating impacts of conflict, climate change and corruption on God’s people. Pinwheel Campaign at Home of the Innocents
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
You can make a difference in a child’s life!
For every $10 donated to the campaign during the month of April, a pinwheel is planted on our main campus to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. Pinwheels may be dedicated in honor or memory of loved ones. Follow along on social media as we post pictures of our growing pinwheel garden and see how big the impact is that you make in the lives of children in our community.

All are invited to attend the next program in the Sacred Arts Series on Sunday, April 22, at Calvary Episcopal Church, 821 S. 4th Street.
A trumpet recital by Jerry Amend will be followed by Choral Evensong sung by the choirs of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Calvary Episcopal Church. A reception will follow the service.
