It was wonderful to learn, acquire new skills, see old friends and make new ones at the Annual Meeting in Orlando!

Eric Spiegel , our new president received the helm from Eric Willmarth and did not waste a second as he hit the ground running - moderating conversations with the Masters, talking to attendees, introducing speakers and teaching a workshop!
Congratulations to the Editor of the  AJCH  Stephen Lankton  and the authors of the Journal  as it has had more impact and presence in the scientific community!
The Clinical Hypnosis Day Task Force led by Debbie Nesbitt has worked hard to provide us with the best materials to promote clinical hypnosis.  See thread below for more information.

The Fundamentals of Hypnosis Workshop (Basic) was such a success that the faculty had to pull some of the Approved Consultants attending the meeting to help with small group sessions! We congratulate the faculty and salute the high quality teaching that continues to be one of our society's greatest accomplishments. There is no doubt that we will see these new students of hypnosis again soon, at the next level of training workshop. They were curious and excited to take their first steps under the guidance of our masters.
We were looking back to the time when some of us had our first experiences at the Basic Workshop, the sense of wonder and discovery and disbelief that such a wonderful tool exists and is not used more frequently for the benefit of our patients and clients. We hope that one day a course in Hypnosis will be a part of the curriculum in all mental health programs, and all medical and dental schools.

So, lets get to work!
  1. Talk to your colleagues
  2. Inform your patients and clients
  3. Teach qualified students
  4. Request a proclamation for Clinical Hypnosis Day in your state (check out ASCH website for materials and help)
  5. Let us know about blogs and sites for professionals that can be helpful to attract attention to learning about hypnosis
  6. Advance your own knowledge and skills
