Penske Executive, Bud Denker '80 to receive LSSU School of Business alumni award. 
 
Nancy Barr '00, was selected at the Judges' Choice Runner-up for her story, "Peace" 
in the sixth annual Write Michigan Short Story Contest.
 
Sherry Brooks-Demaray '83 '90 recognized with Distinguished Service Award.  
   
Katie Elliot '17, was named Program Director for Galilean Bible Camp and Conference Center in Blind River, Ont.  
 
Phillip Graziani '17 landed his dream job doing research and writing software for the US Army TARDEC Ground Vehicle Robotics group .
 
Joyce Henderson '67 is serving as President of War Memorial Hospital's Auxiliary. 
 
Cindy (Johnson) Metras '99 was elected to the Iron Mountain Kingsford Community Federal Credit Union board of directors.    
 
David Pelton '15 was named battalion chief for Walker Fire Department. 

Brian Springett '11 is the Executive Director for the Greater Detroit office of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The LSSU Fire Science Women's Group work to empower women in non-traditional careers while work along side one another to gain experience for careers in fire science.
