The 2018 Association Communications Benchmarking Survey is open and we would like to invite our members to participate in this vital study. All participants completing at least 50% of the survey will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. The survey will remain open until May 1, 2018.

We greatly appreciate your time and participation in this important annual study. Please reach out to

New VISIT Milwaukee website captures city's wonderfully random charm

VISIT Milwaukee, the destination marketing organization for Milwaukee, has redefined the city's image for visitors and captured the spirit of Milwaukee's people, neighborhoods, events, and attractions through a new website.

The improved experience expands beyond the meeting planner to the convention attendee as well. A new slot machine style "randomizer" on the homepage provides an entertaining way to discover exciting things to do in the city. A new "My Trip" tool allows visitors to plan their trip to Milwaukee by curating a virtual shopping cart with the unique experiences they find while exploring the site.

"Our research reinforced that people are most interested in visiting cities that spark a passion for discovery and offer the chance to collect unique experiences" said Megan Suardini, vice president of marketing & communications for VISIT Milwaukee. "From the Riverwest 24 to Koz's Mini Bowl, Milwaukee is overflowing with unexpected and charmingly quirky experiences that are unique to our city. We worked with our partner Hanson Dodge to ensure the new website captured this wonderfully random spirit."

This spirit comes to life through a host of new features, including an expanded meetings and conventions section and a dedicated sports event planning section. Additional features include an all-new neighborhood exploration section, over 1,500 pages of new content, 5,000 photos and videos, and enhanced partner pages. Visit the new website at www.visitmilwaukee.org.

GRE Study Books

Hi All:

I have about seven prep books for the GRE test if you or anyone you know is thinking about taking the test. Very minimal writing inside, binding like new, and free for whoever wants them. Please let me know.

Thanks!
Website Security

Our website is hosted by our association management software, iMIS, and we are looking to provide greater security measures for certain content. While we use the access settings provided by iMIS (restricting access to certain members + requiring a login) some of the content is still discoverable in a search engine.

Does anyone have any experience/best practice for sharing confidential information with certain members, i.e. board of directors, committees? Either with how you share this information with members and/or increase security as to not appear in Internet searches.

Thank you!
