Congratulations 2018 Apple Award Honorees and Nominees!
Douglas County School District teachers, principals, staff, and community supporters came together last Saturday, April 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Event Center for the 2018 Apple Awards, sponsored by the Foundation for Douglas County Schools.

Join us on Thursday, June 14 for the Foundation's Reach for the Stars reception presented by Kaiser Permanente at the stunning Cherokee Castle and Ranch.

The goal of this stellar evening is to raise money to purchase a Digital StarLab ®, a state-of-the-art immersive planetarium.The StarLab® will travel from school to school, inspiring thousands of students each year. Get your tickets to help support STEM education in Douglas County.

The reception will include a sneak-peak into the Digital StarLab ®, live music and an exciting program showcasing the cutting-edge STEM education initiatives in Douglas County Schools.

The evening is sure to be filled with fun and celebration, but most importantly, a generous outpouring of support for the 68,000 students that walk our halls each day.
Partner Highlight - Popcorn Bliss
Popcorn Bliss Castle Rock, provides custom logo'd popcorn tins, gift cards and sweet snacks for fund raising events in any quantity. They start with organic non-GMO popcorn and add fresh ingredients to make more than 60 popcorn flavors. By making it fresh
and in small quantities, they can make custom batches in any school color or for any event. Typically, they look to split the gross profits amount with fund raising partners 50/50.

Chapter Highlight - Copper Mesa Educational Alliance's Annual Auction
   

Copper Mesa Elementary hosted its 3rd annual Spring Fundraising Auction at the Highlands Ranch Mansion in March. The "Going Places" themed decorations blended seamlessly with the setting of the historic building. Proceeds from the silent and live auction will provide enrichment opportunities to students, ongoing support to staff, and upgrades the the outdoor spaces of CME.
