Food For Thought - Friday, April 27

Please join Dr. Philip Brooks at our final Food for Thought offering this season. Dr. Brooks will discuss the basics of cancer therapy as he would with his patients. He will also talk about his personal journey through oncology care, and transformative therapies. 

Lunch at 11:30 and Lecture noon - 1:00.

ASC Members' Art Show 2018

It's time to show off your creativity! We want to see your paintings, sculpture, collage, photographs, fiber arts and anything else you have been working on. This year's suggested theme is "Reflection."
 
Work will be shown during the  month of May at the  Northeast Harbor Library . More detailed information including drop-off times and hanging instructions is available on the website.

Don't miss the opening reception hosted by the ASC Membership & Volunteers Committee! ASC members and their guests are invited to view the artwork while munching on finger foods and visiting with friends, old and new.

ASC / COA Collaborative 2018

July 16-20, 2018 marks our fourth annual summer "Best of Acadia" Collaborative with College of the Atlantic. This week-long learning opportunity will focus on higher education and public policy. 
  
This year's keynote speaker is David Ellwood, Professor of Political Economy at Harvard (and Winter Harbor summer resident). Morning speakers include William Brennan (President of the Maine MaritimeAcademy), Laurie LaChance (President of Thomas College), Deborah Dluhy (previously head of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and currently a trustee of Maine College of Art), and Darron Collins (President of COA). 

The very popular Friday night sunset boat cruise (seating limited ) has also been arranged.
