For CASA volunteers
7th Annual Evening to Foster Dreams
With a little less than a month to go, our annual gala is ready to be CASA/LA’s most significant fundraising event of the year! On April 24 th  CASA volunteers, staff, board members, donors, and community stakeholders will come together with a goal to raise  $1.2 million , nearly a quarter of our annual operating budget. Please consider reaching out to friends, colleagues, and business partners to ask for items for our exciting silent and live auctions. Or you can experience the night for yourself by securing tickets, sponsorship, or a volunteer position!

We are seeking 80 CASA youth (ages 14-21) and their CASAs** to participate in this valuable financial literacy training!

Junior Achievement of Southern California (JA) is partnering with CASA/LA to provide one of their Financial Literacy & Work Force Readiness programs to a select group of CASA youth during the 2018-19 school year. In partnership with their CASAs, students will be introduced to the basics of budgeting, investing and saving. At JA Finance Park students have the rare opportunity to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. Here, students participate in an immersive simulation that enables them to develop skills to successfully navigate today’s complex economic environment and discover how decisions today can impact tomorrow.

United Friends College Readiness Program
United Friends of the Children has limited spots available for their College Readiness Program (CRP) to help foster youth become competitive applicants for four-year colleges and universities. Enrichment focused: individual college counseling, tutoring, workshops, college tours, special events, and summer programs. F or an application and detailed information please click here .

Fostering Hope LA
Fostering Hope LA provides job readiness training and Christian mentorship to transitional aged youth. 8-week sessions, start on February 2019 on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30PM to 8:00PM. Participants will hear stories from former foster youth about their successes, speak with business owners, life coaches, and educational advocates, and be paired with a mentor. WE LIFT LA
WE LIFT LA empowers TAY youth and young adults out of the foster care system by providing life skills services, consistent support, workshops, and counseling to make the shift from foster care to independence less challenging and more successful. The organization offers housing, life skills development, and job readiness and vocational training. Click here for more info.
