Cougar Chronicle
April 2019
The risen Christ is celebrated in every opened flower, in every beam of nourishing sunlight, in every humble patch of green beneath our feet.
May you and your family be blessed as you celebrate the true meaning of Easter, from the reflection of Good Friday to the joy of Easter Sunday and the promise of eternal life.

Lord God,
You loved this world so much,
That you gave your one and only Son,
That we might be called your children too.
Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace
Of Easter Sunday, everyday.
Let us have hearts of thankfulness
For your sacrifice.
Let us have eyes that look upon
Your grace and rejoice in our salvation.
Help us to walk in that mighty grace
And tell your good news to the world.
All for your glory do we pray, Lord,
Amen.

Easter blessings,
Mrs. Ann T. Sarpu

Dear Parents;
Please call or email me if your child is going to be out of school for an illness or event. I am tracking school illnesses and from a safety standpoint, it saves me a phone call to the home or teacher to find out why a child is not in school.

Thank you;

The Lions Club is Coming April 25 th
We are excited to have the LIONS Club come again this year to do free vision screenings for all grades K-8. Vision screenings are mandatory for grades K-8; but the LIONS can also do the preschool class and If you wish to have your preschooler screened, permission forms will be coming home within the next few weeks. This is a great service offered through the LIONS club and it can pick up a potential vision problem earlier. Volunteers are trained in the use of a Baush and Lombe eyespot camera and typically not fearful for your child. If you do not wish to have your child screened, please email me at your earliest convenience.
Lenten Project

This Lent, we will be collecting donations of items to benefit the Catholic Worker House. Toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant are great. Also, snacks for students attending their after-school programs are essential. Lastly, since many of the children there are homeless, donations of new socks and underwear are much appreciated.  Due April 18th
