Help keep our City Clean
As the snow thaws, we know that garbage can pile up. Rest assured, City of Mississauga crews are on clean-up duty.

Here are a few tips on how you can help before the blooms make their debut:
·       Use the waste and recycling bins provided in parks and other public spaces
·      Always pick-up after your furry friends
·      Report litter, dumping or debris using Mississauga’s online service tool or by calling
·      Use reusable or refillable drink containers or bring your own cup
·      Participate in a litter a clean-up

Set a good example. Don't be a LitterBug and inform others about the impacts littering can have on the environment and how they can do their part. To learn more about how you can help, visit mississauga.ca/portal/residents/parks .
Improve the Drainage Around Your Home
The ground around your building should slope away from your foundation. Roof downspouts should extend two metres away from the sides of a building and be angled to direct stormwater away from your foundation and your neighbour's property.
Always ensure that leaves and other debris do not block eavestroughs, downspouts, ditches or storm drain access on your property or the street. Blockages lead to water ponding and can be a cause of flooding. For more information please click here .
