The month of April is alcohol awareness month along with sexual assault awareness month. These are both important yet difficult topics to speak about. EDEN PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL'S PERFORMANCE OF "THIEVES CARNIVAL": 4.26.19 &4.27.19
This play, written by Jean Anouilh, is a comedy of love, thievery, mistaken identity and money. The two performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on April 26th and 27th in the Performing Arts Center of Eden Prairie High School at 17185 Valley View Road. Tickets are available at the box office at $7 for adults and $5 for students.

NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAY: 4.27.19
Turn in your unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal. Sharp items are not accepted. The Drug Enforcement Administration's Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. This free event takes place from 10:00-2:00 p.m. on April 27th at the Eden Prairie Senior Center, 8950 Eden Prairie Road.

EP GIVES FUNDRAISER: 4.27.19
The Eden Prairie Community Foundation will raise money for grants and other programs at its “EP Gives” event from 6:00-10:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Bearpath Golf & Country Club. A special appeal will help launch the Eden Prairie TreeHouse program for youth. The dinner and dance will have a “Caribbean Nights” theme. THE GIVE GATHERING VOLUNTEER FAIR (RESCHEDULED): 4.29.19
Shop open-house style for the volunteer opportunity best suited to you when The GIVE Gathering volunteer fair returns to the Eden Prairie City Center (8080 Mitchell Road) from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 29th. Last year, 250 people attended this free event, where more than three dozen nonprofits and other organizations shared their volunteer opportunities. While you’re there, participate in a service project and sign up for prize drawings. You are sure to find a volunteer opportunity that will be a great fit for you.

MYHEALTH CHILDREN'S DENTAL CLINIC: 5.1.19
A low cost dental care clinic will be offered at 15 8th Avenue South in Hopkins on May 1st of this year. This clinic provides services for children from birth to age 26 years old and pregnant women. Services that are available are exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, oral health education, fillings, crowns and extractions. Children's Dental accepts all forms of insurance and offers reduced cost care under an income based sliding fee scale. ARBOR DAY WALK AND GREEN FAIR: 5.4.19
Celebrate Arbor Day with a walk around Round Lake,16691 Valley View Road in Eden Prairie. Check out a variety of green-themed vendors and activities and watch the Minnesota Society of Arboriculture Tree Climbing Championship. This free event will include concessions, family activities, free seedlings, native plant vendors and information on native plants, renewable energy and tree health, a story stroll and a pop-up library. SUPERHERO KIDS OR NOT ME!: 5.4.19
Unfortunately 1 in 7 children will face some form of sexual abuse or assault. Most assaults are committed by people kids know. The consequences are emotional problems which manifest as alcohol/drug abuse, eating disorders, emotional dysfunctions, and violent behaviors which persist until later in life. What can you do? Flourish: Mother’s Day Brunch and Fundraiser for Esther Homes: 5.11.19
On Saturday, May 11th from 10:00-12:00 p.m. there will be a fundraiser for Eden Prairie's maternity home Esther Homes at Grace Church located at 9301 Eden Prairie Road. Flourish is a morning for women and mothers to come and be encouraged. The event's keynote speaker is Osheta Moore, a writer, pod caster, mother and wife, and international speaker on peacemaking and racial righteousness. VOLUNTEER FOR EDEN PRAIRIE HIGH SCHOOL TEST DRIVE

Volunteers ages 14 and up are needed to support EPIC Summer Camps. If you are looking for a fun way to spend your summer working with children, this is the role for you! Camps run from June 17th through August 15th from 8:30 am - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday, with hundreds of unique camps each week! EAT AT PIZZA KARMA ON SUNDAYS TO SUPPORT THE ANGEL FUND
Pizza Karma, located at 8451 Joiner Way in Eden Prairie, has partnered with the Eden Prairie Schools Angel Fund. The globally-inspired pizzeria announced its partnership with the Angel Fund in tandem with an expansion in its hours. The restaurant, which had previously been open Monday through Saturday, will now be open Sundays from 11:00-9:00 p.m. and will donate $1 to the Angel Fund for every pizza sold on Sundays. The Angel Fund pays for Eden Prairie students' meals during difficult family financial times.

SERVICE PROVIDERS SHARE RESOURCES AT FRIDAY FUN DAY
Hennepin County Child & Teen Checkups, Think Small, The PROP Shop, Fraser, SEWA-AIFW, Southlake Peds, CAP-HC, Eden Prairie Mom's Club, Hennepin County Early Childhood, PROP, and The City of EP joined the Family Resources Program at Little Eagles Preschool Friday Fun Day Event on April 19th. Over 600 people attended this event, where these service providers were able to share resources and connect with young families. Families were also able to tour the preschool and participate in fun activities like face painting, crafts, dancing and singalongs, and tours of city vehicles.
