Last month, I wrote about the 2020 draft budget which proposed eliminating all funding for Special Olympics programming which President Trump reversed on March 28th, making the commitment to fully fund the $18m line item from the Department of Education’s budget to fund Unified Champion Schools programs across the country. I would like take this opportunity to share the breadth and depth of the impact resulting from the federal funding investment in Unified Champion Schools here in Maryland.
