President's Message
Greetings friends,

National Volunteer Week (April 7-13) shines some well-deserved spotlight on volunteer service and the power we all have to make a difference in our communities and world.

Doing ‘good’ comes in many forms and we recognize and celebrate them all. As members of WTS, our strength is in our numbers. Collectively, we have chosen to take action and make a positive impact on the future of women in the transportation industry. Thank you to our members, my talented Board of Directors, and, of course, our sponsors for your service and dedication. WTS is a volunteer-driven organization and is made successful because of each of you. We make the biggest impact when we are actively engaged, so be sure to stay plugged in and take advantage of all the opportunities your membership offers you.

Our quickly approaching WTS Annual Awards Banquet is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the people and causes that inspire us to serve. It’s a night dedicated to those that who contribute their time and talents to make a difference in our communities. If you have not reserved your seat to showcase your business and get connected in our community, what are you waiting for?! It’s one of our favorite nights of the year and offers a fun and inspiring opportunity to meet our scholarship recipients and network with our award winners. We are still accepting sponsors and volunteers. I can’t wait to see you all there!

Sincerely,
Adrienne Williams

Spring Professional Development Event: Matt Handal

Our Spring Professional Development Event was held on March 26, 2019 at NOAH’S Event Center in Irving, Texas. Matt Handal, author and contributing editor of SMPS Marketer, took those who attended through a three-step workshop that gave participants new insights into their clients’ decision process and helped them leverage science-based tactics to create more compelling proposals. Over 30 professionals attended our event and we have received nothing but positive feedback on how great Matt was and the information he presented.
