CPWC Members,
Happy Spring, a time full of new growth and hope! It's easier to be happy in the
warm and sunny weather, without rain in nearly every day's forecast. As nature starts to awaken and blossom, so do we.
We are a busy, busy group on the move. This month our program is a Field Trip April 12 to the Atlanta History Museum. Please come! Our hiking group is heading to Blue Ridge for a day hiking trip and to visit with our friend and long-time member Donna Brown. And our Play Group recently headed to Morgan Falls. Everyone seems to be getting out and about!
We will be out and about on April 14 in McFarlane Park for our annual egg hunt, this year featuring a petting zoo thanks to the creativity of our Family Programs team. Bring your kids, grandkids, or neighbor kids to enjoy an afternoon in our local park.
Thanks to Paula Rzucidlo for hosting our March program. Kroger's wine selections and Murray's cheeses helped to make it, once again, one of our most loved and popular programs of the year. The Abbey Glass pop up shop was an elegant and fresh addition to the day. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to Simple Needs of GA. We collected 6 small appliances, and over $200 in cash and gift cards.
The Evening Savvy Women's Group met at Pat Iaffaldano's home where our speaker shared her path to a debt free life of financial freedom. She was full of relevant and clever tips on how to intentionally spend and save, increasing our financial savvy.
CPWC is full of savvy, thoughtful and capable women, some of whom are nominated to serve on the executive board next year. We are pleased to present the slate of CPWC officers for next year in this newsletter. If you have input, opinions or questions before the new board is ratified in May, please contact Janet or
Belinda
. We'd be happy to hear from you. Special thanks to our nominations committee for the care and work it takes to thoughtfully craft our board! And thank you to all those who serve and help throughout our year in so many ways! It's a joy to see and get to know such a diverse and fun group of people.
As we enter the later part of our women's club year, we encourage you to participate in a group or activity you don't typically attend. It's a wonderful way to meet a new segment of our members and to expand our community. If you'd rather not go on your own, know there are many of us who have felt the same way.
Please let one of us, or another member you feel comfortable contacting, know, and we will make every attempt to come with you!
May these last couple of month of 2018-2019 programs be filled with the vibrancy of Spring and our dynamic members.
With hope...
Belinda
