The Family Medicine Residency Program is a dynamic program that has achieved national recognition. MERITUS FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY
The Meritus Family Medicine Residency (FMR) seeks a Director of Behavioral Science to join a new 6-6-6 Residency Program. The Behavioral Science Director will have the unique opportunity to establish, grow and refine a well-supported integrated Behavioral Science Program.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Behavioral Science Director is responsible for the administration and educational activities pertaining to the Behavioral and Mental Health education and general training needs of the Family Medicine Residency, including those assigned activities related to the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, evaluation and advancement of residents. This individual works under the general direction of the Residency Director, and collaborates with physician faculty, the program administrator, patient educator, nursing staff, and other team members to achieve patient care and academic goals. The Behavioral Science Director will also partner with the Medical Director of the Meritus FMR practice clinic to ensure behavioral and mental health services for the patients we serve. This will include collaboration with onsite resources (community social worker and integrated behavioral health clinician) as well as system and community wide offerings.
