LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR
Faculty,

This month’s letter is going to be simple. Thank You. Thank you for what you do for our students, for our community, and for APSU. Thank you for reaching out to us when you needed help, thank you for being patient through the many roadblocks we faced together * insert online proctoring* and thank you for being so dedicated to your craft.

We are in the home stretch of spring semester, a semester ending in a way we could never have imagined when we were heading into the beginning of the term. However, you are * doing it * and you are * making it happen * for our students! I am so amazed by how quickly everyone was able to pivot and move to the digital learning space. I know it was not without loss of sleep, perhaps some tears, and maybe some choice words spoken. However, despite that, I see the effort being made by our community, and I am truly blown away by everyone’s dedication to Be a Gov.

As we head into summer break, a much-earned break, I hope you look back on your spring term proud of everything you were able to accomplish. For those that know me, you know I am a big fan of stoicism, and modern-day stoic Ryan Holiday helps me get through some difficult times. I want to end this letter with a quote from one of my favorite books by Ryan Holiday, “It’s okay to be discouraged. It is not okay to quit. To know you want to quit but to plant your feet and keep inching closer until you take the impenetrable fortress, you’ve decided to lay siege to in your own life—that’s persistence.”

TN ECAMPUS ENROLLMENT PROCESS
(NON-MSN MAJORS)
Advising for summer and fall is underway. If an APSU course is unavailable online, students might consider TN eCampus courses as an online alternative. If a student submits a TN eCampus course request, please use the steps below to determine their eligibility .

  1. The advisor reviews the student’s course history page in OneStop and confirms the student's residency hours. Continue to step two if met. Stop if the residency hours are not satisfied

  4. The department chair signs the TN eCampus Request Form and routes all documents to Distance Education
  5. The Distance Education director verifies the student's residency hours, signs the document, and routes all documents to The Office of the Registrar
  6. The Office of the Registrar confirms the student’s residency hours and signs the document
  7. The registrar emails the CRN to the student
  8. The student enrolls in the course and confirms their registration in OneStop
