Future of Technology within the Rail Industry

We are bombarded with technology-focused buzzwords every day. We hear the words but don't always know exactly what they mean or how they may impact us. It may easy to relate to these words in our daily lives but how do they impact us at work within the rail industry?

This article will dive into the historical impact of technology advancements throughout the ages, how technology is being used today within the rail industry, and explore what the future may hold.


A Special Note from the Technology Chair 

ARDA Members, 

Everyone is faced with different challenges in response to COVID19, and in times like these we are forced into creating solutions.  Many of us are discovering new ways to communicate and handle our responsibilities on a remote basis.
 
If you may, spend some time to think of how technology is keeping us connected as we are asked to stay apart.  Technology isn't just here to keep us connected with work - Our organization members are keeping the trains running and will continue to do so!  Thank you!

Please also take time to consider that ingenuity of technology can also be used to connect to friends, family, and others that are close to us in uncertain times like these.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon.
