COVID-19: Support and Resources
|
I'm guessing you can relate to the range of emotions that I've felt over the past several weeks, with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to rely on verified sources for your information, stay home, take good care, and let's do this together.
We will resume peer groups via Zoom in April.
Thanks to everyone who expressed the desire to continue peer groups during this uncertain time. Watch your email for connection information. Our staff has been working remotely, and we are also using this tool to stay connected (see photo to right).
The Community Foundation released plans for the Disaster Response Fund and Funds for the Community. Find more information below.
As our work and social climates have changed rapidly over the past few weeks, I will be sending a special edition e-newsletter mid-month.
Stay safe, be well, and as always, stay connected,

Funds for the Community Cycle 1 Applications Due April 15
The Community Foundation announced a flexible strategy to redesign the 2020 unrestricted grant cycles (Funds for the Community) to provide support to nonprofit organizations that reflect the realities of the pandemic and economic crisis. In most years, the Funds for the Community provide the funding source for grants from the Program Fund and the Organizational Development Fund. For at least the first cycle of 2020, the Funds for the Community will be re-directed to address organizational and community needs in Linn County resulting from the COVID-19 crisis. Guidelines and application instructions will be sent to nonprofits via email on Friday, April 3, with a due date of Wednesday, April 15, at midnight. The swift grant cycle will operate with two priorities: to help organizations sustain and maintain essential functions, and to maintain the safety net for vulnerable populations. Please visit
