Cleft Lip and/or Palate (CL/P) is the most common congenital craniofacial anomaly with an incidence of 1 in 700 live births. In the United States, 2650 babies are born with a cleft palate and 4440 babies are born with a cleft lip with or without a cleft palate each year. Dentists play a pivotal role in the continuum of CL/P care.
