According to recent research, there are gaps in nonprofit board participation across our region.

“Research on nonprofit boards in the Cincinnati region reveals a gap of several hundred board members needed in critical areas like health, education and public safety. Participation in the BOLD program can help to close that gap.” Michael Jones, Academic Director of the Kautz-Uible Economics Institute at the University of Cincinnati.

Welcome House of NKY Board Members are the governing entity behind the agencies over-arching strategic plan. They help keep the leadership team aligned with that strategic plan, they provide input for major initiatives and decisions, and they oversee the role of of the CEO. It is the role of our board members to participate in fundraising and events for the agency by providing the simplest of support of sharing social media posts to providing financial funding for these events.
