Positive Solutions
Positive Solutions
Tuesdays, April 20 - May 27
6-7:30 pm, on Zoom

Social-emotional skills are the strategies a child has for:
  • managing big feelings
  • navigating relationships
  • playing well with others
  • solving difficult problems
  • making responsible decisions.

One of our most important roles as parents and caregivers is to help children express and manage emotions, communicate needs, and establish positive and rewarding relationships. Teaching and reinforcing these skills helps increase kids' self confidence, motivation to learn and positive attitude toward themselves and school, while making them less likely to experience emotional distress.

Positive Solutions for Families is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program, developed by the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning. The program is especially appropriate for parents/caregivers with children under age 7.
