Rescuing Golden Retrievers & Golden Retriever Mixes Since 2003
APRIL 2021
A Message from the President and Founder, Lauren Genkinger
I hope you and your families are slowly getting back to “normal” and have remained healthy.

Hopefully, you have started following our newest arrivals, the China dogs. All 15 are safe in their foster homes, and 3 have found their forever homes! We are still waiting for the next 9 to leave China and get here. It has been a very expensive rescue, as you can imagine, but so worthwhile. For the first time in their lives, these dogs are stepping on grass, playing with a toy, seeing what love is after they've spent their entire lives without being loved, cuddled, kissed, or hugged.

Fortunately, they are healthy and LOVE attention. Please help us bring the other 9 over to America safely. They need you now more than ever! If you've been waiting for a golden, please reach out to us and we'll help you meet one of them and help you with a transition to your family! The adoption fee is higher than our normal cost, but their transportation to the US is a bit more expensive. It's a very long flight.

Thank you for supporting this important rescue. Please give, if you can, so we can get the remaining 9 into safe and snuggly forever homes.

With gratitude,
Our China Pups Are Here!

AGA would love to continue saving more dogs from China in the future. For this to come to fruition we rely heavily on donations and adoption fees to help cover the costs associated with each dog we can save. The average price to transport each Golden from China to Atlanta is approximately $2,640 (inclusive of airfare from China to JFK, The ARK facility expense, and the Transport Fee getting all 15 dogs to Atlanta). Next, we have the vet bills which average $1,000 (AGA goes above and beyond with the tests we run for International dogs). The adoption fee for our China Goldens will be $1,500 due to the large number of expenses associated with each. Each dog adopted allows AGA to help save another dog in China!
Looking for Corporate Sponsors
We are looking for companies that, in return for name recognition, will sponsor a China Golden. Your $2,500 sponsorship fee will cover the cost of the flight for one Golden. The adoption fee from our forever families will cover the vetting expenses. Each sponsored adopted dog will save another dog from the slaughterhouses in China.

As a sponsor, your company name will forever be attached to your Golden sponsored. You will be recognized on our website next to your Golden, as well as on all social media including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and all live feeds as well as our monthly newsletter (this one!).

We could not do this without your tax-deductible support. If you and your company are interested, please email us at [email protected].

Potentially Deadly Easter Dangers for Your Pups
Along with the beautiful weather, colorful blooms, and the singing of freshly hatched birds comes some serious dangers to our four-legged friends, especially surrounding the celebration of Easter. Follow these guidelines to stay safely away from the animal ER this Easter holiday.
