Jacksonville Public Library!"

The renovations on the Library are happening fast and we are all very anxious to see the completed project.

See above picture for a sneak peak of an artistic rendering showing what the front Library windows will look like. This window art shows everyone what the Library has to offer in bright and vibrant colors.

Six new windows have been installed to brighten up the space inside and construction is continuing to move forward.
Expected opening date is
May 2021.
JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Sergeant Dina Wilde received her pinning of promotion from Corporal to Sergeant during the May 9th City Council Meeting. Chief Joe Williams performed the pinning ceremony and thanked her for her dedication to this community.

We had several animals adopted during the month of March! Thank you to the community for choosing to adopt from our shelter. Here are just a few of the happy animals who found their "fur-ever" homes!

DONATION MADE TO THE
JACKSONVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION

During the State of the City Address, the City of Jacksonville presented the Jacksonville Education Foundation with a $1,000 donation as part of the Performance Services' Customer Experience program. The Customer Experience program aims to receive real-time customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction at critical stages during design and construction, including the City of Jacksonville project. As a token of gratitude for program participation, a donation is made to the customer's charity of choice.

2020 CITIZENS
OF THE YEAR
During the 96th Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet, all local health and safety organizations were awarded with the Citizen of the Year Award. This award represents the community's appreciation for their dedication and commitment to the citizens of Jacksonville during the year 2020 regarding Covid response and action.

Representing the City of Jacksonville Police and Fire/EMS were Captain Nathan Winship and Chief Keith Fortner.
