Chamber News
April 2021
A Year Later
Sometimes I think it is hard to believe that it has been a year since we were all “sent home” and we had three weeks to “flatten the curve.” I must admit, being the new Chamber Director during a global pandemic presented so many new challenges, so much to learn, to adapt, and all the while still being supportive of our membership.
I know I am not alone when I say that while I am exhausted from all the virtual meetings, it is nice to have that option moving forward. I can now watch a City Council meeting from the sidelines of my son’s soccer game – which I did Tuesday night! I see this as one positive that came out of the last year.

Another positive has been the increased sense of community and supporting local businesses. It is not just the chamber pushing “SUPPORT LOCAL”, now you see businesses lifting other businesses up. You can see the comradery of business owners celebrating other business owners and finding solutions on how to overcome the barriers COVID-19 presented to all of us.

It has not been easy for any of us, I will not deny that. However, I am confident with our strengths and resilience as a community. Positive people produce positive results.

I am encouraging all of you to consider staying positive. Do not let those who continue to bring forth barriers as to why something cannot happen influence you. Instead, bring forward positive solutions on how we as a community can work together to ensure our children have the best available opportunities.
As we move forward, please always know that we are your advocate and will continue to strive to promote the growth and success of our area businesses.

We hope you will consider joining us at our Annual Meeting & Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, May 4th at 7:30am at the Hub at Village Square in Crestline. We are excited to celebrate businesses and individuals who really took a leadership role in our community in 2020.

Due to construction projects that will be happening in the Galion Town Square this summer, the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce will be unable to hold our Third Friday event in the traditional way. We are currently exploring ways to modify it or replace it with another event until construction is completed. Stay tuned for further updates!
We are still working out the event details and would like your input on the format for the 2021 golfing outing.
Please take a minute to answer our poll below.
Would you rather have a noon Shot-Gun start? Or would you rather have designated tee times?

A-1 Printing-Carl Graphics of Marion, Ohio has been a member of the A-1 Printing family for years, now we are so excited to welcome them as a full A-1 Printing location!
When Carl Wade retired in 2018, Carl Graphics’ quality services and solid brand were joined with A-1 Printing to offer more comprehensive design and printing services to the Marion business community.
Initially. Carl Graphic’s name and logo were retained because of the business’s long-standing reputation within the community. But now A-1 is ready to operate under one name, A-1 Printing!
