NAMI SUSSEX to hold Annual Meeting
Monday, April 26, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. on Zoom
(FOR MEMBERS)
NAMI Sussex will hold its Annual Meeting for dues-paying members on Monday, April 26, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., online via Zoom. At the Annual Meeting, members elect board trustees and approve any proposed changes to the affiliate's bylaws.

Only members whose annual dues were up to date as of March 26 are eligible to vote. Those members were sent a letter and ballot with the list of Board candidates recommended by the Nominating Committee and proposed changes to the NAMI Sussex bylaws recommended by the Bylaws Committee. Members will be emailed a reminder and link to attend the Annual Meeting on the morning of April 26.

Four current board trustees, Jeri Doherty, Keren Gonen, Mary Anne McInerney and Meredith Walling, are half-way through the two year term to which they were elected on April 6, 2020 and are not up for re-election this year. The Nominating Committee has presented to the members the following slate of candidates to serve on the Board of Trustees for a two-year term, beginning April 26, 2021:
Charles Cantelmo (current trustee)
Robert Cubby (current trustee)
Annette Hoffman (current trustee)
Deirdre Mastandrea
The Nominating Committee is grateful for their willingness to serve.
President Annie Glynn to "retire" after five years of service
Our current board president, Annie Glynn, will be resigning from the board effective April 26, 2021 after the Annual Meeting. The current Board of Trustees is very grateful for the five years Annie has devoted to NAMI Sussex, serving as our president since April 2016.

In 2016, Annie skillfully guided NAMI Sussex through the complicated process of "reaffiliation" under guidelines required by NAMI National. She helped our Board of Trustees develop a Policies and Procedures manual which upholds the "Standards of Excellence" recommended by the national organization and NAMI New Jersey. She developed our first Strategic Plan to help NAMI Sussex articulate and achieve its goals and has helped the Board keep the plan updated on an ongoing basis.

In addition to the many responsibilities of serving as our president, Annie has until recently been the publisher and editor of our monthly newsletter and the manager of our website. For the past three years, she has served as our team captain for the annual NAMIWalks NJ event.

"Annie's shoes will be very difficult to fill", says Jeri Doherty, long-time NAMI Sussex Board of Trustee and past president. "She could see the 'big picture' of our all-volunteer organization and also attend to the many details. She has taught us a great deal in five years, and we wish her much success and happiness as she returns to full-time employment in the corporate world."
Resources from the March 15th Screening of Angst
NAMI Sussex wishes to thank our members and friends for joining us for the March presentation of the film Angst, about children and teens who are coping with anxiety. We would like to provide the following resources that were mentioned in the post-film discussion:
