ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT -
ULTIMATE TAILGATE EXPERIENCE
Highlight your calendar for the Ultimate Tailgate at the College Football Hall of Fame, the Circle's biggest fundraiser of the year- Saturday, June 5, 2021, 6:30 P.M. Dinner, dancing, auctions, museum tour options, and more!
And speaking of more... our Ultimate Tailgate will have approximately 15-18 round tables that we will use for eating and socializing in between all the fun. Our theme is, of course, sports! We are asking for 18 table decorating hostesses. The venue provides linens, glassware, plates and flatware. We are looking for 18 Circle members to create fun sports related centerpieces for the tables. You can do one solo or do one or more in groups. The more the merrier. The opportunities are endless: soccer, tennis, football, cricket, bowling, a fav college team, a fav pro team - search your imagination. They do not need to be elaborate, just fun!
Here are some photos that may get your creative juices flowing.
Thank you for being a member of the TEAM!

PROJECTS at DEVEREUX UPDATE
Excitement with the progress of the projects from last year's fundraising! The concept and design Rita Furness has developed is beginning to take shape in the Family Visitation Center. It has been painted, the artwork is arriving, and furniture is due to arrive next month. Brenda Vasquez's intern, Kayla, has started painting the Koi Pond Mural on the patio outside.
Just in time for outdoor recreation, the Dugout foundations have been poured and the storage closet is under construction. We are looking forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony in a couple of months.
Thanks to all the Circle members who participated in the March collection for Devereux, our combined donations of socks and underwear totaled $1,537.00. Kudos to Heather Rees for acting as our collection spot!

The Circle Scholarship Committee is reviewing applications this month to select two new scholars to award with scholarships. Our returning scholars have completed their renewal applications.
Scholar Ella Cantrell is transferring from Gwinnett College to the Coastal College of Georgia to pursue studies in coastal ecology. Ella said, “I would just like to thank the Circle Members for their generosity, it is truly a blessing. I have had a wonderful first year in college, and although I am transferring to another school to do what I truly want to do, I look forward to making new, wonderful memories. ”

A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT-ELECT
Believe it or not, we are starting to prepare for the 2021-2022 year for The Circle for Children. In that vein, I would love for you to start thinking about what committee you would like to join and participate on. Our goal will be to have all of our members be a part of at least one committee this year. You have tons to choose from, the more the merrier. Here are some of the choices: Membership, Auction, Charity, Scholarship, Social Events, General meetings and Fundraising events.
In the 2021-2022 year we plan to have three fundraising events, you can sign up for one or all three. There will be: the Golf Tournament on October 18th, chaired by Kimberly Johnson; the Annual event sometime in Winter/Spring chaired by Pat Iaffaldano and Susan Fulkerson with Cynthia Barr and Krista O'Neil chairing the Auction; and the purse sale in May chaired by Danielle Houret-Lam and me. We hope you will find one you are interested in!!!!
AND ANOTHER REMINDER SAVE THOSE PURSES! Please ask your friends to donate purses or even buy one that you feel will sell well at the Purse Sale.
Thanks for your attention and looking forward to having a great Fundraiser at the Ultimate Tailgate this year too.
Cindy Formica, President-Elect
