April 2021
So, I meant to send out a newsletter in January..... The shop has been busy, I've been busy, and here it is April! Hence, this will be a newsy newsletter to catch you up on what's been going on here!
IN THE STORE...
So, we have quite a few new models (I've been knitting like mad!), and I've also been re-knitting some old favorites in some newer yarns. Plenty of new yarn has been arriving on a regular basis, including some linen and cotton blends that are new this Spring/Summer season. I've also gotten in some great project bags and totes of all sizes, in case you need something new and exciting to put your project IN!
SHOP HOURS and PROTOCOLS.....
I am going to keep the shop hours as they are for the foreseeable future (TUES.-SAT. 10-3).
I am happy to stay open later or open earlier if you call ahead, please don't hesitate to do so!
We are still requiring masks in the shop for the comfort and safety of all, and will continue to do so.
Porch pickup for purchases is still just fine for those who would rather not come in, and for those who can't or don't need to come in! Remember, you can pickup at any time of day!
CLASSES.....
We plan to try some scheduled outside knitting, with help, in May, when the weather is just a tiny bit warmer and more predictable. Stay tuned!
I am working on the possibility of some Zoom classes and will experiment with that, also.
We are currently running a lot of private lessons (one or two people - with masks), after store hours.
We will consider in-person group classes in the Fall. I know that many are looking forward to this, but it's really too soon and I have my hopes up for later this year.
KEEPING IN TOUCH....
I know that I've been awful about getting a newsletter out, but I've been trying hard to post projects, new yarns, and other odd bits on Instagram and Facebook. So, if you're inclined, follow me there and keep up with what's going on in the shop.
DONATIONS.....
During the last year, a whole lot of yarn has come in - from you - and gone out to many groups and individuals who knit, crochet, and then donate their finished goods to those in need. Appropriate cotton yarns have gone to support Knitted Knockers, and some to a non-profit weaving center.
While sorting, storing and distributing all this yarn takes some time and space, it is really a joy to be able to facilitate this! It makes me so happy to pass these treasures along!
Please, keep it coming! Any and all yarn finds a happy home!
LYS DAY....
Local Yarn Store Day is April 17! Come in and see what your local yarn store has been up to!!!
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST....
Thank you! for being the wonderful customers that you are, for continuing to shop here, and for bringing humor, advice and joy with you when you come in!
