Cosmology of Light Newsletter
Hello Friends,

The focus of this issue is the Emergence of Computational Strata from Light. I am glad to mention that I was invited to present a paper on this topic at the UKSIM-2022 Conference held at Cambridge University earlier this week. Due to conflicting travel, however, I was unable to attend in person, but my presentation was streamed and I share links to it and to the background paper in this newsletter.

In a Cosmology of Light, light is modeled as being not only the substance within which all exists, but further, all that is and all future possibility lies in the substance of light as infinite information. This implies that strata - whether electromagnetic, quantum, atomic, or cellular - all lie as potentiality within light and emerge from it to also create any computational possibilities.

But it also implies that computation itself needs to consider the substance of light and the dynamics that emerge from it and that therefore what we have in terms of current computational devices is only a partial rendering of that which is possible. Related to this claim I also highlight QIQuantum, focused on the creation of a different genre of computational devices.

Best Wishes,
Pravir
Emergence of Quaternary-Based Computational-Strata
This IJSSST paper suggests that a symmetrical multi-layered model of light is the generator of increasingly complex computational-strata. The light-based symmetry being quaternary-based is envisioned to generate similar quaternary-based strata such as the electromagnetic field, quantum particles, atoms, and cells.

But such generation occurs through the device of quanta, which is seen to be a bridge mechanism between layers of light. Such strata, afforded stability because the implicit fourfoldness in light seeks integrality even when projected explicitly, allows subsequent phenomena such as memory and the implementation of universal functionality to arise. Because memory and universal functionality can be implemented in any of the quaternary-based emergent strata through the creation of logical gates leveraging strata-specific mechanisms, such strata become computational-strata.

A different object of computation, innate creativity, becomes apparent when one considers the vast array of unique functionality that is emergent in any layer of computational-strata.

The Talk Based on the Paper
In lieu of presenting live at UKSIM-2022 held at Cambridge University, I recorded a presentation that was played at the time that I was to present live.

The 25-minute presentation covers:
  • Light as a generator of computational-strata
  • EM field-based computational-stratum
  • Quantum particle-based computational-stratum
  • Atom-based computational-stratum
  • Cell-based computational-stratum

QIQuantum
QIQuantum (Quaternary Interpretation Quantum) is spearheading the development of a reconfigurable atom-denominated quantum computer built on quaternary principles of organization true of light, matter, and life.

This computer embodies another approach to quantum computing based on a different “sight” of the dynamics true at the quantum-level. It is based on recognition of fourfoldness, and hence will neither follow conventional binary-based nor qubit-based logic but will be based on fourfold logic exercised by unique fourfold-type gates.
