Have Them Apply to our Aging Careers Exploration Internship
|

Age-Friendly Teaneck leaders are thrilled to announce that our Aging Careers Exploration Internship program will resume in Summer 2022 - after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.
|
|
|
This four-week program (July 6-29) will provide 4 high school students from Teaneck with real-world experience and connections with professionals in elder care-related social work, geriatric wellness, technology, home care, recreation, food service, housing, elder law and business management. Students chosen for this enriching experience receive a $1,000 stipend.

More Exciting News! The Bright Side Family Awarded Grant To Help Guide Older Women to Financially Securer Futures
|
|
Age-Friendly Teaneck's parent organization, The Bright Side Family, was just awarded a grant from Women United in Philanthropy to launch a new program named Securer Futures for Senior Women. This information and outreach program will conduct community-based workshops and presentations and offer individual counseling to address the unique financial needs and challenges older women in Bergen County face. More details to follow soon.

Here are Two New Programs That Offer Support, Aid Independent Living

Senior Checks, a new money management program offered by The Bright Side Family, trains volunteers to provide older residents assistance with budgeting, routine bill paying and other financial tasks.
