Baptist Women in Ministry’s Mentoring Program offers new ministers an opportunity to participate in up to two years of intentional mentoring with a seasoned Baptist minister and a group of peers. The 2022-2024 program includes:

  • Participation in an opening retreat July 31 - August 2, 2022 at St. Francis Prayer Center in Stoneville, NC, and other retreats and/or resources provided per group. *Retreats will be revised if necessary for Covid precautions.

  • Program-related expenses, including travel, are funded by BWIM through a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.’s Thriving in Ministry initiative.

  • Monthly video conversations with mentor and peers via Zoom

Since the beginning of Advent, BWIM has been publishing a blog series following Wilda' Gafney's A Women's Lectionary for the Church (Church Publishing, 2021). This series will end on Easter. We hope you have been inspired to see and seek the stories of women within and overlooked by the biblical text through Dr. Gafney's pioneering work, and will consider utilizing this new lectionary for your preaching in the future.

If you have not been following the blog series, now would be a great time to catch up on the exceptional Lenten contributions from women in our community.
