City Theatrical is proud to play a small part in the lighting magic behind many of the new shows to open on Broadway this past month!

Take Me Out, for example, is a Broadway drama by 2nd Stage that opened at the Hayes Theatre on April 4, 2022. With lighting design by Ken Posner and set design by David Rockwell, the show makes use of a combination of our Multiverse® wireless DMX/RDM, DMXcat®, QolorFLEX® 5-in-1 LED Tape RGBWWCW, QolorFLEX NuNeon® and QolorFLEX 5x8A Dimmer technologies to help bring this "delightful and provocative" revival to life on stage.

QolorFLEX 5x8A Dimmers at FENDI x SKIMS Pop Up Boutique in Beverly Hills, California

FENDI and SKIMS opened a special pop-up boutique shop on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California during November 2021 for the launch of the FENDI x SKIMS capsule collection created under the direction of Kim Jones and Kim Kardashian. The immersive 1,205 square foot space celebrates the colors of the collection through the use of vivid, color-changing LED lights. The lighting design, by Carl Everett of Sense Lighting, requires wall-sized, 10"-deep light boxes, which use 120 QolorFLEX 5x8A Dimmers to ensure consistent full range dimming. Other project credits include Associate Design and Programming by Scot Gianelli of GNLE Design, hired lighting equipment package by Kinetic Lighting, concept and production by Inner City, and control and playback by Interactive Technologies CueServer 2 and ETC Gio @5.

"We needed discrete control of every vertical row of LEDs, placed 10” apart, at full height in the light box. We mounted the QolorFLEX 5x8A Dimmers directly to the light box, in neat rows lining each side of the room. The QolorFLEX Dimmer's PWM adjustment helped us satisfy both the camera needs and smooth dimming for an in-person retail experience."
