Student Highlight
Victor Curiel, an Idaho State University graduate student in history, successfully defended his thesis: Race Riots in Britain.

Curiel plans to continue his education by earning a PhD, specializing in British Imperial History, Diasporas, and Migratory History.

The history department’s faculty is a “powerhouse” of information, according to Curiel. If interested in European or British History, Curiel suggests taking a course with Dr. Datta or Dr. Stover.

“They taught us how to teach,” said Curiel. “It was more than just good GTA positions, it was pedagogical teachings. The program, he said, was “holistic, intense, and worthwhile.”
