UCGHI will be celebrating the new Global and Community Health program at UC Santa Cruz at UC Global Health Day 2022 on May 7. In this program undergraduate students will engage with complex intersecting global, environmental, social and biological influences that impact health outcomes on the individual and societal level.

The UCGHI Student Ambassador Program is now accepting applications for 2022-2023!

The program will take place from September 2022 - June 2023, and is open to all students (i.e., undergraduate, graduate, medical, nursing, law, etc.) from the 10 UC campuses, UC Hastings and partnering Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Charles R. Drew University.

Congratulations to UCGHI Black Lives Matter Task Force member Dr. Jerry Nutor, assistant professor and registered nurse in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing and Center for AIDS Prevention Studies at UCSF. Dr. Nutor is recognized for improving the lives of underserviced populations by the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, and he is the AIDS Research Institute Diversity Scholar award.
One Health Workforce: Next Generation
The USAID-funded One Health Workforce - Next Generation (OHW-NG) project led by the UC Davis One Health Institute is empowering One Health University Networks in Africa and Southeast Asia to become global leaders in transforming workforce capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to emerging disease threats.
