Earth Day Sierra and Community Art Day
The Rotary Club of Bishop Sunrise is partnering with Inyo Council for the Arts (ICA) for an Earth Day celebration and Community Art Day at Bishop City Park.

When: Saturday, April 23rd 10am-4pm

5 Uses for Your Artist Portfolio
VIRTUAL ARTIST WORKSHOPS FOR ARTISTS AND INTERESTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

The Owens Valley Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center is hosting two virtual artist workshops entitled, "5 Uses For Your Artist Portfolio" by Great Basin Native Artists (GBNA) founder, Melissa Melero-Moose of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe.

These two workshops are free and open to the public! Pre-registration is encouraged by clicking here.

Part 1 will be held on, April 6th , and Part 2 will be held on April 13th, both at 12pm.

Native Artist Demonstration: Willow Medallions
The Owens Valley Paiute Shoshone Cultural Center is pleased to showcase local artist, Charlene Redner of the Bishop Paiute Tribe. She will be on site to demonstrate traditional Willow Medallions for museum guests at the Cultural Center. Various demonstrations will be held on weekends through the end of April, and is open to the public. Admission is free so bring your friends & family and experience the cultural heritage of the Paiute/Shoshone people.

Paiute-Shoshone Cultural Center Spring Market

The Owens Valley Indian Water Commission is sponsoring a youth poster contest in awareness of Climate Change. To enter the contest, download and fill out this form and email it to [email protected].

Missoula Children's Theatre Present's: Alice in Wonderland
Join Alice, the White Rabbit, and a host of others in a musical wonderland this Saturday, April 9th when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and local students present an original musical adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic, ALICE IN WONDERLAND!

Tickets are $5 for adults and free for kids under 18 years old and will be available at the door.

Auditions for Mammoth Shakespeare Festival
Looking for All Ages, All Genders, All Ethnicities!

MEASURE FOR MEASURE will be set in the turn of the 20th century Paris. Moulin Rouge inspired.

TWELFTH NIGHT will be set Renaissance era with Men playing all the female roles in Renaissance drag and the Women playing all the male roles in Renaissance drag.

Felici Piano Trio with Ambroise Aubrun
The Felici Piano Trio and guest Ambroise Aubrun perform chamber music works by Brahms (the Piano Quartet in G Minor) and Dvorak (his Piano Quartet opus 87).

Tickets are available herePlease note that the college requires masks and the box office team will ask verbal confirmation at the door that concertgoers are fully-vaccinated and free of COVID symptoms.

"Valley Of Giants" Book Launch Party
Join local author Lauren DeLaunay Miller in celebrating the official launch for "Valley of Giants: Stories from Women at the Heart of Yosemite Climbing" in partnership with Mountain Rambler Brewery and Spellbinder Books with readings by Miranda Oakley and Alexa Flower.

Acoustic Eidolon, featuring Joe Scott on double neck guitjo and Hannah Alkire on cello are from Colorado and have graced stages throughout the US, Europe, Australia and Canada. With eleven CDs and a DVD to their credit, these masterful artists continue to captivate audiences throughout the world with their signature “new acoustic” sound and boundless possibilities in blending Celtic, Americana, World & Flamenco musical influences. The double-neck guitjo has 14 strings and Joe has developed his own style and technique, playing both necks simultaneously. Classically-trained cellist Hannah Alkire studied with G. Magyar of the Hungarian String Quartet and is recognized internationally for her stunning tone and emotional, impeccable playing and for taking the cello places it’s never been before.

Yodel Tone Music Presents: Late for the Train
Late for the Train is an indie-folk trio rooted in the rich traditions of Americana, bluegrass, folk, and Celtic music. Skillful craftsmanship meets tender harmonies and potent lyrics. The core ensemble consists of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists David Pascoe (guitar/mandolin), Laura Benson (fiddle), and Thom Beneduci (stand-up bass).

Rambling Peaks Festival
The Mountain Rambler Brewery is hosting the first ever Rambling Peaks Festival featuring music, arts, and culture from the Eastern Sierra.

The event will feature local art, live music, local vendors, and of course...locally brewed beer!
Festival dates are set for May 13th and 14th. Tickets are on sale now, and you can purchase them here.
