April Social Media Toolkit:

This National Volunteer Month, we are sharing resources and tools to help you celebrate your amazing chapter mentors and recruit experienced business experts to join our organization. We are providing assets, templates and social media posts for Social Media Chairs to help celebrate this observance in their local online communities.

The Marketing and External Relations Teams partnered together on this effort to bring you as many useful resources as possible in one place for easy reference.

April Social Media Updates:

Beware of Fake Facebook Support Notifications

Phishing is when someone tries to get access to your Facebook account by sending you a suspicious message or link that asks for your personal information. We are seeing an influx in these attempts that suggest that your chapter Facebook Page is pending deletion due to a Community Standards Violation or Intellectual Property Infringement. Please forward these emails to [email protected] and do not click links or attachments. We will investigate and determine if there is an actual account issue to be concerned about.

National Volunteer Month: Explore Paid Campaign Options

April is National Volunteer Month, and we know that many chapters use this observance to double down on their own recruitment efforts. If you are interested in sourcing new volunteers, we highly recommend the Lead Generation on LinkedIn package offered by the Hiper Community Management Team. Stephen Troutman of Southeast MN ran a Q4 campaign and offered the following feedback:

"From our limited demographic area, of probably only 200,000 people, you found nine candidates. I consider the results to be outstanding."

Live Training: How to Use New Volunteer Spotlight SOCi Templates

Another great way to celebrate National Volunteer Month is to spotlight and uplift the amazing volunteers at your chapter on social media! With our all-new customizable templates, featuring your chapter’s unique volunteers is now easier than ever. In our March webinar, we provided a live demonstration of exactly how to use these templates available within SOCi-- our social media management tool.

Chapter Success Story Pilot is Entering Month Two

In FY23, we are looking for ways to evolve the Chapter Social Media Program and help your chapters have an even greater impact in your local online communities. One way we believe we can achieve this is through unique, localized success story content sourced from chapter websites and published individually on the coordinating chapter’s centrally managed social media channels. We conducted a pilot to test out the scalability of this content development and will be updating you on progress in this month's Social Media Webinar.

Updated Chapter Social Media Content Strategy

In Q2, we were excited to officially offer LinkedIn content publishing through the Chapter Social Media Program. This support, as well as new and improved content strategies for each of the three included platforms, has officially been provided for a full quarter. This was a highly anticipated addition to the program, and we are looking forward to providing you a performance update on this initiative as well in this month's Social Media Webinar!
