Fun and Games at SAS
Suit up for exciting new rounds of bridge. Rich Laufer's spring classes are all starting soon.

Beginner Bridge (Course 11881) meets Monday mornings beginning April 17, 2023. You will learn the basics by playing on your first day. Advanced Beginner Bridge (Course 11883) expands upon the basics and teaches conventions with prepared hands. Class meets Thursday evenings, starting April 20, 2023.

For players who know the fundamentals of bidding and play, Laufer teaches Intermediate Bridge (Course 11884). Class meets Wednesday evenings, beginning April 19, 2023. Bridge: Supervised Play (Course 11882) meets Monday afternoons, beginning this week on April 17, 2023. The format combines recreational play and organized learning for all levels.
New sessions of canasta will begin soon with our experienced instructors. Emma Foster and Amy Katz introduce novices to the game on Tuesday afternoons in Beginner Canasta (Course 11830), starting April 25, 2023. Jamie Meadow will offer Beginner Canasta (Course 11824) on Thursday evenings starting May 4, 2023, and Beginner Canasta (Course 11823) on Thursday afternoons starting May 18, 2023.

For players ready to move beyond the basics, Canasta: Supervised Play helps you hone your skills and work on strategy. Take your game to the next level and meet other players. New sessions are scheduled for:

Also, newly added to the schedule, is Canasta Strategies: Aces, Sevens, and Special Hands (Course 11930), a single session class on Thursday afternoon, May 11, 2023.
Anne Wiesel and Katie Goldberg are both offering new sessions of mah jongg this spring.

Let's Play Mah Jongg: Beginner Series (Course 11770) just got underway last Monday but other sessions have yet to begin. Registration remains open for Monday mornings (Course 11771) starting June 5, 2023, and Wednesday mornings (Course 11863) starting June 7, 2023.

Learn scoring and betting, winning and defensive strategies, and different styles of playing the hand in Let's Play Mah Jongg: Supervised Play. Classes meet on:
