The City of Warrensburg is pleased to announce the launch of its Window Replacement Grant Program for commercial buildings. The program aims to encourage maintenance improvements to existing commercial buildings throughout the City in a manner that promotes the success of businesses while also making them more structurally sound, energy-efficient, and provide improved aesthetics for our community.
Eligible applicants for the program can be either the property owner or the tenant of a commercial building. Both the applicant and the owner must sign the application form. However, owners or tenants of buildings that have special assessments, real estate taxes, or personal property taxes that are delinquent, property with outstanding code violation orders, unless these are corrected as part of the project, property or buildings in litigation, mediation, condemnation, or receivership, exclusively residential property, and tax-exempt property are not eligible to apply until the situation is resolved, if applicable.
The types of work that may be funded include but are not limited to, window repair, window replacement, and incidental carpentry or masonry work necessary to repair or replace the window. The work paid for by the grant funds or applicant’s matching funds must take place on either the front or rear façade of the building or on an exterior side facade open to a common space or public right-of-way and must be visible to the public.
The City of Warrensburg is committed to the ongoing improvement and development of its community and encourages property owners and tenants to take advantage of this opportunity to make improvements to their buildings.
