April 2023 News & Updates

A "Royal" Note...

To our beloved Amaryllis Community:

I share that Cindy is doing well, resting, and on the mend. She sends her love and gratitude to each of you.

This month we honor, celebrate, and share World Autism Day and Autism Acceptance Month. About 1% of our worlds population has autism spectrum disorder. And we celebrate National Occupational Therapy Month. We are certainly fortunate to have some of the best OT's in the area.

I am honored and blessed to be a part of the Amaryllis family, a group of therapists with 200 years of combined education, experience, and training! While I have not met all of you, I have met some incredible families.

I was born and raised in Omaha and spent three years in Austin before moving to Denver in the fall of 2022.

I am no stranger to Denver, and have enjoyed its hospitality, scenery, and air for many years. I love to cook, walk, swim, camp, volunteer, and spend time with my chosen family.

You will find me at the front desk, at my desk, and even around the therapy rooms, if you see me please say hi. I am here to help, to learn, and to share.

In gratitude,

Royal, Office Manager

Joey Rhoton, COTA

We are happy to announce that Joey will be returning to Amaryllis Therapy, beginning May 27th! She will offer appointments each Saturday from 9:00am until 2:00pm.

To check availability and to schedule, please reach out to our front desk team: Nathan and Nova.

We are blessed to have a high demand for the services we provide, our therapists have a combined 200 years' worth of experience, education, and training. In some cases, appointments are being scheduled 2 months out. We are experiencing a high number of cancellations without any advance notice. Without advanced notice, we are unable to offer families those appointment times which impacts our bottom line.

As we explore ways to decrease the number of cancelations with no notice, we are asking for your help: before canceling please consider changing your appointment to a Telehealth appointment. If you need to cancel, please observe our policy of allowing at least 24 hours' notice.

We know many value convenient weekly/bi-weekly appointments. Patients who have 2 or more cancelations in a 2-month period will be removed from their weekly/bi-weekly standing appointments and placed on a floating schedule. In addition, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged a $50 cancelation fee.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Road work on Harlan and I-70 is on going. This could affect the travel time for your appointment. We suggest using the Sheridan and Wadsworth Exits!
