Two Ph.D. students awarded fellowships

Daniel Robert Ritchie and Julie Salazar were awarded National Science Foundation fellowships through the Graduate Research Fellowship Program for STEM education and learning research.

Doctoral student receives award at LEAD

Daniela Alvarez-Vargas, Graduate Student Excellence Award recipient, was honored at the Latino Excellence and Achievement Awards Dinner for supporting student success and research excellence in the Hispanic/Latinx community at UCI and in Orange County.

Undergrad wins Pitt award

Elina Lucia Dern receives the University of Pittsburgh Learning Research and Development Center's Broadening Participation Award.

Dern works with Distinguished Professor Judith Kroll in the Bilingualism, Mind, and Brain Lab. She is in her second year at UCI — studying International Studies with a minor in Spanish/English Education.
