BPSOS Community Clinic has earned Gold Rating

from the NAFC Quality Standards Program for 3 consecutive years.

 "The mission of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics is to ensure the medically underserved have access to affordable healthcare. The NAFC and our members are dedicated to ensuring that our patients receive quality healthcare. Therefore, to quantify and qualify the care provided at the Free and Charitable Clinic network, the NAFC formalized a set of Quality Standards for member organizations.

  These standards allow us to showcase the quality care provided to our patients to policymakers, partners, funders and stakeholders. Additionally, the standards assist the NAFC in developing benefits and resources that will help our members enhance the care you provide to patients."

Mong Hoa Vuong To

Community Outreach Coordinator

Mong Hoa is a community activist and used to be BPSOS-Atlanta for many years at several community health fairs, vaccine clinics and at annual VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). She has recently joined BPSOS-Atlanta team as a full-time Community Outreach Coordinator. She is responsible for raising community awareness on domestic violence, assisting victims and connecting victims with resources available in the community. She also serves as breast cancer patient navigator.

Tam Phan

Vaccine Program Coordinator

Tam joined BPSOS-Atlanta in 2023 tax season as a volunteer preparer. She has been inspired by BPSOS mission and goals during her short time volunteering here and decided to join the team as a part-time program coordinator. She has master's degree in supply chain management and Logistics from Michigan State University. Before joining BPSOS, she had many years leadership experiences working with global companies. Tam is working with HAPP (Health Awareness & Prevention Program) team to increase vaccination rate among Asian and Hispanic seniors.

Discover Health and Wellness Fair

All Nations Church-Kharis House hosted its 2nd annual Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 1st, 2023.

Location: 781 Athens Hwy Loganville, GA 30052

Time: 8:00am-3:00pm

The goal of this event is to connect with and to serve the Loganville community and its neighboring cities, to promote a healthy community and by providing a means of awreness of the services that are avilable to assist them in their daily lives.

There were over 20 vendors indoors and outdoors. Some providing health screenings such as vison, hearing, BP, Glucose, Prostate screening, nutrition, and more.

This event is Free!

Estimated attendees: 200

BPSOS-Atlanta continues to partner with the organizer of Discover Health and Wellness Fair to provide CBE and wellness prevention materials and services at the event.

PROVIDERS MEET & GREET EVENT

BPSOS Community Clinic also had a meet and greet amongst our medical directors, providers, community pharmacists, volunteers, and nurse practitioner students, working together to provide better health services for our patients on April 22nd,2023.

Below is one of the classes on April 29th,2023 lead by BPSOS Program Coordinator, Micheal Vo, he was teaching about nutrition and healthy altenative food choices and lifestyle choices for diabete patients.

• We filed over 400 tax return files over the last few months (From February 2023 to mid April 2023).
• BPSOS Atlanta staff and volunteerers have worked with Vita Tax for 11 years, we have successfully helped 4,000 families in Georgia and in neighboring states.
• We are very pleased with the results as we can contribute to the community.
• We would like to thank our volunteers and staff for all your hard work.

Tính đến năm nay 2023, BPSOS Atlanta đã gọp mặt trong danh sách các tổ chức thiện nguyện khai thuế miễn phí của Sở Thuế (IRS) đuợc 11 năm, đã thực hiện thành công gần 4000 bộ hồ sơ thuế.cho các hộ gia đình tại tiểu bang Georgia và một số tiểu bang lân cận. Chúng tôi vô cùng hãnh diện đuợc sư tín nhiệm của Sở thuế cũng như đuợc đóng góp một phần công sức mình để phục vụ cộng đồng.

Chỉ riêng mùa thuế năm nay 2023, toàn thể nhân viên BPSOS cùng các tình nguyện viên đã thực hiện đuợc hơn 400 bộ hồ sơ theo đúng thời hạn quy định của Sở thuế. Mùa thuế 2023 đã chính thức khép lại với kết quả tốt đẹp mang lại nhiều niềm vui cho BPSOS cùng các thiện nguyện viên khai thuế.

Chúng tôi xin chân thành cảm ơn các thiện nguyện viên và nhân viên BPSOS đã chung tay góp phần tạo nên một mùa khai thuế thành công trên cả mong đợi. Xin hẹn gặp lại mọi nguời vào mua thuế năm sau.

Paid-Summer Intern Position- Community Health Fair Coordinator

BPSOS Community Health Fair is one of the community visible events. You will be working with a Planning Committee comprised of Health Awareness and Prevention Program (HAPP) staff, its Medical Advisory Board, volunteers, and community leaders to plan, implement, and evaluate well-organized, community-focused, and objective-driven Community Health Fair. You will gain invaluable experience and insight in promoting, coordinating, and delivering educational and impactful public health events.

The contract is for approximately 8 hours/week from May to Oct 2022. Work hours are flexible.
