A connected, supportive community where everyone has an opportunity to thrive

Dear Volunteers,
I am happy to have joined the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank as the new Volunteer Coordinator. I live in Issaquah, and I am excited to be part of an organization that makes our community a better place to live. I believe healthy food should be accessible to everyone. I have been here for almost two months and each day I am amazed by the generosity and selflessness of our volunteers. I am proud to serve alongside the volunteers here at IFCB. I have so enjoyed getting to know many of you, and I look forward to meeting everyone!
With gratitude,
Erica Judd, Volunteer Coordinator

April is Volunteer Appreciation month!
We want to honor and celebrate the countless contributions from our volunteers and the impact of your shared work for our community. Day after day, you donate your time, talents, and skills. Thank you for sorting, cleaning, restocking, and most of all, providing our clients with a friendly shopping experience. You are truly selfless individuals that are changing the lives of our neighbors daily.
-
Just through March of this year, you have contributed over 4,500 hours of dedicated volunteer time supporting our operations and programs.
-
With your support, we've assisted over 1,100 households in our community through weekly shopping, home deliveries and emergency services.
-
Our Lunch for the Break program last week brought healthy fruit, veggies, proteins, and dairy items to over 230 families and nearly 550 children in the Issaquah School District, one of the largest ever!
We could not do what we do, with a spirit of generosity and inclusiveness, without each and every one of you.
The entire IFCB staff and board team thank you for all you do!
With gratitude,
Erica

Special Programs| Volunteers Needed!

Summer Lunch
Summer Lunch this year will have kid-friendly non-perishable staples, plus a rotating variety of fresh fruit, veggies, bakery, dairy, and deli items. Summer Lunch is our annual program to help fill the gap when kids aren't receiving lunch at school. Children (K-12) within Issaquah School District receive breakfast, lunch, and snack items, as well as a variety of produce and deli options, every other week.
Drivers Needed!
We need drivers for our home delivery and grocery rescue programs.

Food Needs| How you can help!
|
|
Food inflation remains high - costs in February were 10.2 percent higher this year than 2022. Continued high prices combined with growing need in our community means we need donations more than ever!
Please check our current needs list to see our highest priority items and learn when and where you can donate. This list is updated regularly and reflects our largest inventory gaps on our most-requested food items.
If you would like to arrange a food drive on our behalf, please email Kim to coordinate!
