We're excited to share that May will be our busiest month on record, and we expect the entire Live Events Industry to have a soaringly successful year!

Below, we share details about some of the exciting projects we've recently been working on and provide insights into an initiative we've undertaken to help bring new and talented young people into the AV profession.

Be sure to check out our second episode of the "Cubicle Chronicles" (which we expect to be a regular feature) in which our Team talks about their favorite tools they need while on the road. If you missed our first "foodie" episode about some of our favorite places to eat, there's a link for that there too.

As many of our readers know, we like to take an active role in our community, so we're sharing a couple of events in which we'll be participating over the next few months. Finally, we end the issue with our industry insights and 10 Things we'd like everyone with whom we work to know about partnering with Cheshire.

If you have an important event coming up, please get in touch with me at Justin@CheshireAV.com, or call (585) 325-4250 to discuss how we can assist you!

On the Road with Cheshire

Kenvue at AAD

In March, Cheshire was proud to partner with MSM on the Kenvue Booth for the 2024 American Association of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting that took place in San Diego, California.

This annual event brings dermatology experts and industry leaders together for impactful professional development and networking opportunities.

Cheshire had the opportunity to unveil its new curved LED tile, creating the large video wall, shown at right, in the center of the booth. We also mounted moving LED orbs overhead for an exciting visual effect highlighting that whole area.

QuidelOrtho in Orlando

Early last month, Cheshire head to the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek to produce QuidelOrtho's Field Service Meeting 2024.

QuidelOrtho provides state-of-the-art testing, tracking and analysis of diverse health conditions ranging from HIV, Hepatitis C, to flu, strep and COVID-19.

For this show, we used 80 ft stretch drape with Soaring Bird fabrics in front of it for the stage set with custom gobos, along with two 8 x 14 ft screens and 14K Projectors.

Future Vision: Cheshire Introduces

FLCC Students to the AV Industry

When Jamie and Justin Cheshire were young, their father Steve Cheshire, the Founder of Cheshire AV, encouraged both of them to work in the AV industry.

"When I was a kid, I didn't really know much about AV," explained Justin.

"I didn't know you get to work with all sorts of cool equipment and travel all over. I didn't have an idea of the sense of satisfaction you'd feel when you finish a show that's been super successful and the team, including clients, goes out to dinner to celebrate afterwards.

"If Dad hadn't gotten me out of bed one morning, given me a Cheshire shirt, and said, 'you're going to work with me today.' I don't know where I'd be now."

That encouragement made all the difference in guiding the direction of Jamie's and Justin's careers, making it possible for the two brothers to become partners, taking over the company when Steve was ready to retire.
