NEEDHAM COMMUNITY COUNCIL NEWS
We celebrate our talented team of volunteers all year and this month gives us a special occasion to do so.

National Volunteer Week will run April 22-26 and we have a few treats and surprises in store for the group. A mainstay in The Council Thrift, food pantry, ELL program, and many more areas of the Council we say:

"THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!"
Thank you to all our Needham neighbors who attended the Party for the Pantry on March 23! The event helped raise $80,000 to support the food pantry and reach community members in need of food support.

Your generosity was tremendous and we could not do this work without you in our corner.

Throughout the spring months there is still time to make a gift to the food pantry.

By the Numbers

We are not sure if March came in like a lion or lamb, but it was a vibrant month at the Council nonetheless.

Ninety-seven pieces of medical equipment were checked out as neighbors got moving in the spring-like weather. And food was still the word of the month with over 300 total food pantry visits - wow.

Thank you for being part of our team of neighbors helping neighbors!

REMINDER:
Spring ELL Tutor Training
Begins on April 11th

Training for new ELL tutors will take place in April and May and we still have a few spots for interested volunteers.

Trained volunteers meet weekly with community members who would like to improve their English communication skills. If you're interested, please complete a tutor interest form.
