Centre Gives is coming! This 36-hour online fundraiser on Facebook is a spectacularly easy way for CRDSS to earn FREE MONEY. How?? The Centre Foundation provides a stre-e-etch pool from which we receive a percentage of match money, depending on how much we raise during the event.

BUT it doesn’t stop there! We also have chances to win PRIZES of $500 by having the most “unique donors” during certain Power Hours, and if we end up in the Top Ten Small Organizations with the most donors, we could win an extra $500!

What does this mean for us?

Our CRDSS "Don't Bring Me DOWN" POWER HOUR is going to be on Wednesday, May 8th, from 3-4pm. Force yourself to hold off on making your donation until 3-4pm on Wed., 5/8!
Remember: this only works if we all jump in and work together to get as many people as we can to make a donation. Here’s the link to our page, although it won’t be able to accept donations until Centre Gives begins at 8am on Wed., 5/8.

So how can you help?

Tell everyone you know - and we mean everyone! - that Centre Gives is coming on May 8th and 9th. A donation of just $10 helps increase our chance to win prizes, because the number of unique donors (different names) is as important as how much we raise for many prizes. Think of friends - coworkers - church family - sports teammates - family - club members - everyone you know!
Share our Facebook posts on May 8th and 9th, and remind your friends and families to make donations. Anne Marie will be posting updates and information telling people how DOWNright awesome we are throughout both days.
HOLD YOUR DONATION UNTIL OUR POWER HOUR! We want to have the most donors between 3 and 4pm on Wed., May 8th to help us win that extra $500. Tell everyone who is planning to donate to plan to donate then also.

Join us at Centre Gives Fest on May 9th!

On May 9th, Centre Gives hosts a giant party in Talleyrand Park, Bellefonte, from 5-8pm. CRDSS plans to have a table set up with our balloon pop game to spread the word about our amazing group, and we'd love to have you come by or volunteer to help us man the table! There's live music, food trucks, giving stations set up where people can make their donations online if they haven't already, and lots of activities offered by all the nonprofits that will be there. It's guaranteed to be a good time, so please come out and support us!

Fern, Curtis, and other volunteers supported runners at water stations and showed off our CRDSS spirit at the finish line of the April Tussey Teaser 10K. We need you to come cheer for runners and hand out water at the upcoming Tussey Teaser races in May and June.

All proceeds from these races and the big Tussey Mountainback event in October go directly to support CRDSS programs for our members.

Special Olympics is coming to Penn State June 6th,7th, & 8th, and our For Good Performance Troupe has been asked to lead a version of Let's Dance at the Olypmic Village! Stay tuned for more info on this exciting invitation.
