Issue 1 Volume 1 April 2024

Strengthening the lives of at-risk youth and young adults so they may be mentally healthy and receive needed mental health programming and support.

Hello Mary Jo,

Gratitude is the word that sums up our feelings. We are humbled and blessed by your support and generosity as we continue our journey to carry on Meg’s spirit by assisting others dealing with mental health issues.

In nine short months, Meg’s Legacy of Hope has made huge strides in building a platform to fund and support great organizations to counsel youth and young adults to live mentally healthy. We just awarded $122,000 to four amazing groups and we’re excited to tell you about the important work they provide in our communities.

Enjoy our inaugural newsletter to stay apprised of what’s happening at Meg’s Legacy of Hope. During National Volunteer Month, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the volunteers helping to make Meg's Legacy of Hope a success, especially the Board and Ambassadors. If you would like to volunteer your time and expertise or merely share general input, please drop us a note at info@megslegacyofhope.org.

Impacting the lives and mental health of our younger generation is in reach.

Gratefully,

Larry Butz

MEG’S GIFTS OF LOVE

“Meg’s Gifts of Love” is our newly established effort to share individual gifts with the hope of bringing glimpses of joy to those in our communities needing a little extra love and care. Megan was passionate about helping children and making a difference, so we carry that torch.

Our successful holiday toy drive resulted in the distribution of 419 toys and gift cards. We also shared $2,000 in gift cards to 150 under-resourced high school girls at Our Lady of Tepeyac in Chicago. Lastly, we gifted $4,500 to 9 families with children recently suffering from suicide, and part of LOSS (Loving Outreach to Suicide Survivors), a support program run by Catholic Charities in Chicago.
